International Bloc at the Mass May Day in the Netherlands
May Day events in Amsterdam were held with the participation of thousands of people. The crowd gathered at Museumplein at 13:30 and, although turnout was below the expectations of the trade unions, the march began at 14:30.
Accompanied by slogans against the usurpation of rights in the Netherlands and demanding that May Day be recognized as an official public holiday, the march ended at Martin Luther King Park. Events held in the park then continued in a festival atmosphere until 19:00.
Partizan Netherlands also took part in the march with Partizan and AIL flags, along with a banner reading “Stop the Kagaar operation,” prepared together with the Dutch Communist Committee. AIL and Revolutionaire Actie formed a joint bloc. Revolutionary and communist participants from the Netherlands, Lebanon, India, and China were also present in the bloc.
Throughout the march, slogans such as “Freedom for Palestine,” “Long live the revolution,” and “Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, Mao – viva viva viva” were chanted.
Long live May Day!
Long live the revolution!
