The AIL Celebrates 10 Years of Struggle by the Frente del Pueblo Sol Rojo
The International Antiimperialist League (LAI) celebrates the 10th anniversary of Frente del Pueblo – Sol Rojo in Mexico. Originally called “Corriente del Pueblo-Sol Rojo,” Sol Rojo is a class-conscious, militant organization independent of the old state and all forms of parliamentary cretinism. Guided by proletarian principles, it organizes the people to win their rights, resisting the attacks of the old state as they build a new power.
Mexico’s Sol Rojo is one of the organizations that, from its very inception, fought for the creation of the International Antiimperialist League (LAI), and continues to struggle to unite and strengthen the antiimperialist forces of the world.
With a red and militant message of congratulations, the LAI joins the other organizations in celebrating these 10 years of struggle. It was in 2016, from September 21 to 26, in the city of Oaxaca, during a march through the streets, that all the humble people waved the Sol Rojo flag for the first time and chanted the slogan “¡Con el Sol Rojo el pueblo vencerá!” In this first battle, women, youth, students, and workers joined the families of imprisoned comrades accused of terrorism, demanding freedom for all of them.
These have been 10 years of militant struggles that express the fighting spirit and desire for transformation of the Mexican people, honoring the historic banners of struggle and all those who were murdered and disappeared by the Mexican state, while serving as an important component and driving force of the democratic and anti-imperialist movement of the world.
Long live the Red Sun’s 10 years of public life!
With the Red Sun, the people will triumph!
