Stop Operation Kagaar!
With this post, we join the week of action called by the international Antiimperialist League (AIL).
Since 2024, the Indian state has been carrying out Operation Kagaar. Operation Kagaar is a campaign of annihilation against the Maoist movement in India. At the same time, the operation targets the indigenous Adivasi population, who are being killed and displaced in order to clear their lands for mining monopolies — serving the interests of imperialist powers such as India’s major partners, the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as Germany, India’s largest trading partner within the EU.
Likewise, left-wing protests in the cities including struggles for workers’ and students’ rights are criminalized, associated with the Maoist guerrilla movement, and subjected to severe repression. Sexualized violence and torture are integral parts of the entire operation.
