Successful Commemoration of the 7th Anniversary of the October 18 Popular Uprising
At around 5 p.m., students, workers, technicians, professionals, retirees, and children gathered in front of the pergola at Plaza de Armas in Chillán. United by a spirit of struggle and resistance, they took to the streets with a megaphone in hand to express their complete rejection of this exploitative system, their unconditional love for the people, and their commitment to continue the struggle with stronger ideas and better tools until victory is achieved!
The demonstrators then marched through the streets, chanting slogans such as: “No More Cuts!”, “No More AFPs!”, “We Refuse to Be a North American Colony!”, and “Zionism Out of Chile, Out of Argentina, Out of Latin America!”, among many others.
The demonstration unfolded in a joyful atmosphere, with numerous expressions of support from pedestrians and passing motorists.
The task ahead is to strengthen our level of organization in order to mobilize even larger numbers of people for future demonstrations and struggle
