Demonstration in La Serena against the Imperialist Dominga mining project
A demonstration took place in La Serena, organized by various environmental organizations, as well as masses from Punta Choros and rural areas, against the imperialist mining project “Dominga”, backed by Yankee investments from the company Andes Iron.
With great enthusiasm, the masses and the youth expressed their strong opposition to this disastrous project, which will destroy the environment and wildlife in the interests of the imperialists, the comprador big bourgeoisie, and the corrupt politicians of the old bureaucratic-landlord state, as confirmed by the numerous corruption scandals surrounding this project.
As the Antiimperialist Front (FAI), we were present, shouting slogans in support of the antiimperialist struggle. The following slogans were heard:
“We Are Exploited, We Are Not Pacifists: Long Live the Antiimperialist Struggle!”
“Rebellion Is Justified!”
In an act of proletarian internationalism, slogans were also shouted:
“Long Live the People’s War in India!”
“Long Live the Maoists and the CPI (Maoist)!”
Leaflets calling for internationalism and solidarity with the heroic People’s War in India were also distributed, along with slogans such as:
“Cuba Yes, Yankees No!”
The flags of FAI-Chile and the International Antiimperialist League (AIL) were raised, along with the poster calling for the continental struggle in Latin America against the aggression of Yankee imperialism, held from October 12 to 27.
