Events in Finland and Norway in support of and in solidarity with the Palestinian national liberation struggle
Finland:
An anti-imperialist event entitled ‘What is imperialism?’ took place in the Finnish city of Tampere. During the presentation, a definition of the term ‘imperialism’ was first given. Building on this, an overview of anti-imperialist struggles in the world was given, with a focus on the development of Palestinian solidarity and the anti-imperialist movement in connection with the Anti-Imperialist League (AIL). After that, the manifestation of anti-imperialist aspirations in Finland was presented using visual material. Finally, the participants were called upon to participate in the founding of the anti-imperialist league (AIL) in Tampere.
Norway:
Posters with the slogans ‘Support the Palestinian Resistance Struggle’ and ‘Free Palestine’ were hung up in the Norwegian city of Kristiansand. Furthermore, posters of the Anti-Imperialist League (AIL) with the slogans ‘Palestine is our country, together we will win’ and ‘Palestine is our cause, together we will win’ were hung up in the city centre of the Norwegian capital Oslo as part of the campaign.
