he Cuban Revolution holds a special place in the history of Latin America. Its impact across the continent and the support it has received worldwide demonstrate this.
The repeated attempts by Yankee imperialists to recolonize Cuba for more than 60 years have recently intensified. The militarization of the region is increasing with the “Southern Spear” operation, which uses drug trafficking as a pretext to deploy tens of thousands of troops in the Caribbean Sea with the aim of targeting Venezuela. The Americans want to make Cuba pay for its support of Venezuela’s heroic struggle against imperialism, but, fearing a second humiliating defeat, they prefer economic strangulation over direct ground invasion.
Indeed, imperialist media speak of a “final economic asphyxiation,” openly revealing their genocidal intentions. These statements refer to a policy of total blockade of the island, especially regarding oil, combined with attacks against Venezuela, which had been its main supplier for decades.
The clear objective: to economically and militarily suffocate Cuba, regardless of the consequences for its people.
U.S. imperialism is in decline; it is bogged down across the world. In Afghanistan, where it hastily withdrew thousands of troops; in Iran, where it is forced to bow to the demands of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard; in Gaza and Lebanon, where the masses give no respite to the Zionist entity; in Latin America and Venezuela, where resistance mobilizes millions through popular militias. They speak of achieved goals and total victory, but like Bush declaring “mission accomplished” in Iraq, their agitation is driven by fear of defeat.
Imperialism is heading straight toward its grave let us deliver the final blow that will bring it down.
