Antiimperialists of the world, unite!
Stand with the Struggle of the Kurdish Nation
Against Imperialism, the Fascist Turkish State, and Jihadist Reaction
The Struggle of the Kurdish Nation Is Legitimate and Just!
What is unfolding in Syria is not a simple regime change, an internal reconciliation, or a search for “stability.” What has emerged is a planned and comprehensive process of liquidation carried out by imperialism and regional reactionary forces against oppressed nations, against national communities living under occupation and annexation, and in particular against the Kurdish nation’s right to self-determination. This process is not merely a reconfiguration of Syria’s future. It is a multi-layered assault targeting the political, military, and social gains won by the Kurdish nation through more than a decade of struggle.
This assault, directed by U.S. and European imperialist centers, has been implemented on the ground through the fascist Turkish state and the jihadist Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). This is not accidental. It is a conscious, coordinated, and counter-revolutionary choice. Imperialism’s preference is once again clear. It does not side with oppressed nations, but with subordinate ruling states and the most reactionary political forces.
The fascist Turkish state is not on the margins of this process. It stands at its very center. From the beginning of the war, Turkey has supported jihadist forces and has waged military attacks, diplomatic pressure, and regional bargaining to eliminate every gain the Kurdish nation achieved in Rojava. In the most recent developments, Turkey’s active role on the battlefield and at the negotiating table in the territorial losses suffered by the Kurdish nation is unmistakable. For this reason, Turkey is not a “security actor.” It is a structural enemy positioned against the very existence and achievements of the Kurdish nation.
Israel and other Western imperialist powers stand on the same line. In line with their objectives of controlling the region, suppressing resistance dynamics, and securing their own interests, the status of the Kurdish nation has been deemed expendable. For the imperialist order, what matters is not the freedom of nations, but their controllability.
What has taken place in Syrian Kurdistan once again demonstrates that imperialism is the enemy of everything democratic. The right of nations to self-determination is treated within imperialist plans as a temporary instrument serving interests. It is never regarded as a permanent guarantee. All so-called solutions involving imperialist powers are swiftly liquidated when balances shift.
In the face of this reality, a consistent anti-imperialist position is imperative. Without an ideological and political break from the imperialist system, no gain that does not rest on the independent strength of oppressed nations and peoples can be lasting. Every position secured through reliance on imperialism is temporary and open to liquidation.
The liberation of the Kurdish nation, and of all oppressed nations and peoples of the region, will not be shaped through bargains made in imperialist centers. It will be shaped through struggle on their own lands, through their own organized forces, and through the common struggle of the oppressed. The struggle of the Kurdish nation is legitimate and just.
International Anti-Imperialist Call for Solidarity
Under these conditions, neutrality is not possible. The resistance of the Kurdish nation is not only a struggle for its own existence. It is a struggle of dignity for all the oppressed against imperialism, fascism, and jihadist reaction. Today, solidarity with the Kurdish nation is not a matter of sympathy. It is a political and moral responsibility.
The gains targeted in Rojava are the product of struggle against imperialist domination and reaction on a global scale. The attacks directed at the Kurdish nation are a warning to oppressed nations and peoples from Palestine to Lebanon, from Iraq to Iran.
We call on the international public, progressive and anti-imperialist forces to expose these attacks and to expand solidarity with the Kurdish nation’s right to self-determination. The policies of liquidation carried out under the slogans of “stability,” “security,” and “peace” serve the continuity of the imperialist system.
Our call is clear:
Do not remain silent in the face of attacks on the Kurdish nation’s right to self-determination.
Oppose all narratives that legitimize imperialist liquidation plans.
Recognize the freedom of oppressed, colonized, and annexed nations and peoples as an inseparable part of the anti-imperialist struggle.
Long live the Kurdish Nation’s Right to Self-Determination!
The freedom of oppressed nations and peoples is possible only through the retreat of the imperialist system!
Solidarity is not merely a stance for today. It is a necessity for tomorrow.
