Those who die for the freedom of the people will always live: Internationalist actions in student march
On 31 October last, in the city of Medellin, students from the University of Antioquia, took to the streets in a march with torches and costumes to protest against the defunding of education and the privatisation policies promoted by the different governmental entities. Within the framework of this mobilisation, a group of revolutionary students carried out internationalist actions, painting the walls with messages of homage to two heroes of the people who have recently been assassinated by the reaction; we are talking about Yahya Sinwar, an important leader in the Palestinian struggle for national liberation and head of the political bureau of Hamas, cowardly assassinated by the Zionist state of Israel; and we are talking about Dr. G. N Saibaba, a brave intellectual, who even with important limitations in his health, having 90% of his body paralysed, gave his life to the defence of the democratic causes for the liberation of the people of India, which is why he spent the last 10 years (until March 2024) in the prisons of reaction, where his health deteriorated, causing his death on October 12, after only 7 months of freedom. The revolutionary and democratic students are honouring the life of these martyrs of the people, claiming their legacy and saying: ‘They have not died comrades, they live in the heart and the struggle of the oppressed of the world!’.
Moreover, also the revolutionary students carried out actions for the promotion of the Anti-imperialist League, a new organisation in the process of foundation, which has made countless efforts to accomplish the great task of uniting the consistent anti-imperialists and democrats around the world.
