AIL Joins the Call to the Political Event against Zionism and Censorship in Brazil
The Manifesto “No Step Back: Stop the Extermination in Gaza and the Zionist Intervention in Brazil,” published by the Brazil-Palestine Institute (IBRASPAL) together with the newspaper A Nova Democracia, received the prompt support from the International Anti-Imperialist League (AIL), specifically from the organizing committee in Brazil.
Signing as CoLai – Brazil, the organization is actively supporting the coordination of the Political Act that will take place on May 27 in Rio de Janeiro. The AIL, whose founding congress is in preparation, declares itself as “an anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist, anti-fascist, anti-feudal, and anti-bureaucratic capitalism organization” and that “opposes imperialism, fascism, racism, discrimination, and all forms of reaction.” The AIL “considers the imperialist system to be the source of all the problems we face; therefore, its struggle is not limited to combating the visible negative consequences but also aims to eliminate the causes of those consequences.”
The calling Manifesto for the Event can be read here. So far, more than 60 organizations, movements, entities, and personalities have signed the Manifesto.
