For an education that serves the people! Rebellion is justified
Part of our participation as the Antiimperialist Front – FAI in today’s protest in La Serena, raising a red banner under the slogan: “For an education that serves the people! Rebellion is justified!”
A national strike was called for October 1, largely promoted locally by sectors of electoral opportunism and revisionism within “Confech.” This organization, which students and the masses themselves have denounced and exposed as opportunist, was overwhelmed by the momentum of the working-class youth present at the mobilization. Throughout the protest, their justified criticisms of electoral opportunism could frequently be heard: it has solved none of the masses’ problems and has continued collaborating with the old bureaucratic-landlord state under successive governments serving as puppets of Yankee imperialism.
During the demonstration, the international appeal of the Antiimperialist League (AIL), @antiimperialist_league, was also distributed in support of the ongoing people’s war in India, led by the Maoists against the old state, the large landholding system and imperialism. A placard was also made, bearing messages supporting the New Democratic Revolution in India and opposing repression by the old state.
Leaflets were also distributed calling for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution (GPCR), upholding Chairman Mao and Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, particularly to support popular protest and develop the struggle against imperialism and all its lackeys.
