Mobilization commemorating the 53rd anniversary of the coup d’état led by the fascist Military Junta
As the Antiimperialist Front (FAI) of La Serena, we took part in the mobilization commemorating the 53rd anniversary of the coup d’état led by the fascist Military Junta and directly supported and sustained by Yankee imperialism that is, by the CIA. We denounced imperialism, all its lackeys, and the current arch-reactionary government.
Amid the popular protest, the powerful outcry of the people’s youth who took part in the mobilization was heard. Their just criticisms were expressed through slogans directed against the sell-out, arch-reactionary government a puppet of Yankee imperialism headed by Kast and subordinated to the IMF, which is placing the burden of the crisis of imperialism upon the shoulders of the people.
The old state and the successive governments that have continued to administer the legacy of the fascist Military Junta were also denounced for giving new impetus to bureaucratic capitalism, perpetuating our condition as a semi-feudal country, and maintaining imperialist domination mainly Yankee over the oppressed nation of Chile.
During the protest, slogans could be heard such as:
• “Kast, scum!”
• “No forgiveness, no forgetting!”
• “If misery intensifies, rebellion is justified!”
• “We are exploited, not pacifists: Long live the anti-imperialist struggle!”
In addition, the Antiimperialist Front (FAI) of La Serena displayed a hand-painted red banner.
