Events in Brazilien to support and solidarity with the Palestinian national liberation struggle
In response to the call by the Anti-Imperialist League (AIL), a campaign in support of Palestine has been organised in Brazil.
In Jaqueira, Brazil, an event with an internationalist character was organised with the aim of supporting the Palestinian resistance. On 12 October, the Union of Poor Peasants and anti-imperialist student collectives, together with peasants, responded to the call of the Anti-Imperialist League (AIL) and organised an event to mark the first anniversary of the Palestinian resistance. The following slogans were chanted during the event: ‘Palestine is our country, we will win together’ and ‘Lebanese and Palestinian youth, your struggle continues in Latin America’.
During the event, the organisers announced that the Palestinian people were demonstrating and that popular resistance would ultimately lead to victory. They also stated that Barro Branco was leading the resistance in Palestine and that Palestine would triumph.
Street actions were also held in various cities in Brazil as part of the appeal by the AIL organising committee.
