Football tournament in support of Palestine
On August 9, the Rennes Communist Youth, together with the Villejean-Kennedy Popular Committee for Mutual Aid and Solidarity, organized a football tournament in support of Palestine.
The program included:
* An intensive football tournament
* A barbecue
* Letters written to Palestinian prisoners in solidarity
* Fundraising for the Tanweer Center in Nablus
The Tanweer Center is a cultural center involved in cultural exchanges related to Palestine and in welcoming international activists, including journalists.
More than 60 people took part throughout the day, with several matches played and a great victory!
All the money raised during the tournament will help support the Tanweer Center, as well as an exchange involving Palestinian children that was due to take place with the CPES in Lyon at the end of June but was canceled by the prefecture at the last minute. However, the canceled trip has only been postponed!
