Presentation of the AIL in Valencia
On Thursday 13 March 2025, the first public event of the Revolutionary Committee of Valencia took place at CSOA l’Horta. The event consisted of a public presentation of the project of the Antiimperialist League (AIL) and the screening of the documentary ‘Fedayin’ about the struggle of Georges Abdallah, a political prisoner for the Palestinian cause who has been imprisoned in French prisons for more than 40 years.
Around 15 people were able to attend the event. The reporter explained who was behind the project of the League against Imperialism (AIL) and read out some points from the programme proposal presented by the AIL coordination committee. The participants had the opportunity to print the call, the programme and the political-ideological content, as well as documents on the Al-Aqsa flood and other revolutionary texts such as the last issues of the newspaper ‘Servir al Pueblo’ (Serving the People).
After the presentation and some questions, the Fedayeen film forum continued. After some logistical problems with the projector, the documentary was shown. At the end, there was a small debate about the resistance of Georges Abdallah, who has not surrendered after 40 years in prison, and about the lessons that October 7th teaches the revolutionaries and anti-imperialists of the world.
