The presentation of the Anti-Imperialist League in Tyrol was successfully organised
As part of the picnic “It’s hard to die in June”, which was organised by the Lila-Rot collective in Innsbruck on 16 June, the AIL was presented. In the statement on behalf of Partizan, it is pointed out that the formation of the international anti-imperialist centre of the international proletariat and the oppressed peoples of the world has been underway for some time.
The activity in question was recently completed and announced to the public with a statement signed by the “Coordinating Committee of the Anti-Imperialist League” on 2 June 2024. The Coordinating Committee of the Anti-Imperialist League (AIL KK) is composed of anti-imperialist organizations from four countries: The following organizations were represented: “Partizan” from Turkey, “Revolutionary Front for the Defense of People’s Right” from Brazil, ” Current of the People-Red Sun” from Mexico, and “Front for the Defend the People’s Struggles” from Ecuador.
The AIL Coordinating Committee, of which the partisans are also members, has determined the necessity for the establishment of a new international anti-imperialist organization. In order to facilitate this process, a series of meetings were held in numerous Latin American and European countries. The outcomes of these meetings indicate that numerous anti-imperialist organisations from diverse global locations are prepared to engage with the AIL. Some organisations indicated at these meetings that they would collaborate with other organisations, regardless of their membership status within the AIL. It was observed that the members of the AIL Coordinating Committee would continue their meetings with anti-imperialist forces in different countries of the world with the objective of ensuring the greatest possible unity until the founding conference of the AIL. It was proposed that the AIL would organise the founding conference this year, with a view to establishing a comprehensive working process by the end of the year. The discussion on the necessity of the AIL highlighted the challenges faced by numerous organisations that self-identify as “anti-imperialist” in their approach to imperialism and the anti-imperialist struggle. Even when focusing on the developments in Syria, Ukraine and Palestine, it became evident that the groups defined as anti-imperialist adopt markedly divergent stances in relation to the respective conflicts. Consequently, as with all problems of class struggle, the ideological line is of crucial importance. The manner in which the anti-imperialist struggle is organised, under the command of which class and which ideology, and how it is shaped in practice, becomes increasingly significant. The ideology that dominates the AIL is that of the proletariat. Consequently, the anti-imperialist struggle must indirectly serve the struggle of the proletariat for political power. It can be stated that a consistent anti-imperialist struggle cannot be waged by creating an ideological collage.
With regard to the imperialist crisis, it can be observed that the consequences of the structural crisis of the imperialist system result in a further deterioration of the living conditions of the world proletariat and the oppressed labouring groups. Poverty, traditionally perceived as a problem of the peoples of semi-colonial, underdeveloped countries, has become a prominent reality for the peoples of developed capitalist and imperialist countries. Moreover, fascism and fascist organisations have become normalized, the exploitation of refugees has been given an important function in shaping the ruling political scene, and the plundering of human and natural habitats by international monopolies continues with boundless brutality. As a consequence of the intensifying contradictions of the imperialist system, there has been a proliferation of wars of aggression. The method of warfare has become a means of resolving contradictions in the polarisation and power struggle between the imperialists and their servants. It can be predicted that the international proletariat and the oppressed peoples of the world will face even more challenging times ahead. It can be reasonably assumed that the class struggle will intensify at both the national and international levels with each new stage of development. It is of the utmost importance that the key figures in the social opposition movement work together as closely as possible. This is a reactionary front that seeks to maintain its domination through the use of considerable resources. In order to maintain the existing order, which is characterised by exploitation and plunder, it is necessary to identify the commonalities between the various actors. It is important to note that, despite the existence of differences between the various actors, there is a discernible tendency towards co-operation. This cooperation occurs at both the international and organisational levels. It is acknowledged that the class struggle entails a historical responsibility. We are aware of the historical responsibility that comes with the class struggle and have a firm belief in the necessity of defeating the imperialists and all reactionaries. Above all, our conviction in the potential of the billions of impoverished and oppressed individuals who yearn for and deserve a better world is of paramount importance. It is imperative that we heed this call and unite as an anti-imperialist barricade of the poor and oppressed against all forms of imperialist aggression. It is imperative to unite the struggles of the international proletariat, the oppressed peoples and oppressed nations to eradicate imperialists and their allies from the face of the earth. It is imperative to establish an anti-imperialist league to combat imperialist wars of aggression, unjust wars, fascism and all forms of reaction.
All anti-imperialist forces were invited to organize and engage in combat within the AIL. The representative of Partizan stated that joint meetings with all anti-fascist forces will be held in the near future, that the AIL occupies a significant position in the anti-imperialist struggle, and concluded his remarks with an invitation to all progressive revolutionary forces to join forces in the struggle.
