The International Anti-Imperialist League gathered over 120 students for the lecture “Imperialism is the Common Enemy of All Peoples,” held on May 30 at the Padre Alexandre de Morais State School in Santo Antônio de Goiás (GO).
The lecture highlighted how capitalism has evolved into its imperialist phase and made clear the just nature of the peoples’ rebellion against the injustices of bureaucratic capitalism and the semi-feudal/latifundium system that prevails in Brazil.
The event also featured representatives from the Brazilian Association of People’s Lawyers (ABRAPO) and the Workers’ League of Goiânia.
Activists from the Support Committee for the newspaper A Nova Democracia went to the school to sell the newspaper to students and set up booths with books and other materials for sale.
After the lecture, teachers and students engaged in a lively debate, posing various questions to the speakers.
