Mural for the Continental Days of Struggle in Our America
October 28, 2026
As part of the various actions held during the Continental Days of Struggle in Our America against colonialism and imperialism, organized from October 12 to 27 at the initiative of the International Anti-Imperialist League (AIL), revolutionary activists painted a mural at a rural school in an Indigenous community in Oaxaca.
The mural celebrates the cultural identity of our peoples and the resistance struggle of Our America, depicted in red and flanked by Indigenous and Black peoples, alongside peasants and workers. The artwork portrays a landscape typical of the region, illuminated by a radiant rising sun.
Two slogans accompany the mural: “Yankees out of Our America” and “Our America rises against the paper tiger.” Both express the collective sentiment of the region’s peoples, reinterpreting a verse from Mexican singer-songwriter Judith Reyes’s Marcha Latinoamericana.
The mural features the emblems of the Sol-Rojo People’s Front and the International Antiimperialist League (AIL).
