In the city of Paris, an event was organised to introduce the anti-imperialist league
Partizan continues to organise AIL showcase meetings in various European countries. The AIL showcase meeting on 23 June 2024 was held this time in Paris, France.
The list of participants of the meeting included representatives of Turkish and French anti-imperialist and anti-fascist organisations, including Young Revolutionaries, Young Revolutionaries League, French Student Union, as well as representatives of Proletarian Revolutionary Stance, AVEG-KON, ADHK and Theory and Politics.
On behalf of Partizan, the explanation of the AIL’s founding purpose and political strategy that was presented referred to the struggle for hegemony triggered by the deepening crisis process of the imperialist capitalist system. In this study, it was pointed out that the spiral of crisis between the struggle for hegemony and aggression that the imperialist system is experiencing is paving the way for the spread of unjust wars.
It was pointed out that the increasing imperialist aggression will meet with the resistance of the peoples of the world. It was emphasised that it is crucial to recognise the importance of responding to this aggression by developing the struggle for the realisation of the democratic people’s revolutions and the proletarian revolutions on a principled level. In this context, the representative of the partizans underlined that the anti-imperialist struggle should be organised and expanded on the basis of the standpoint set out in the ideological and political perspective of the AIL. The AIL thus acts as a front and instrument of struggle. It is a response that should be adopted and strengthened. The representative of the Partizan called on all anti-fascist and anti-imperialist forces to examine the perspective and programme of the AIL, to give their strength and to walk together with it.
Pointing out that the understanding of anti-imperialism is fuzzy, you emphasised that this has been shown in the concrete case of Ukraine and Palestine and that the anti-imperialist struggle is an integral part of the struggle for world proletarian revolution against capitalism, stressing that the wrong approach to this issue is an attitude that reproduces bourgeois politics.
The French young revolutionaries took the floor and declared that they recognised the principles of the AIL, that they were part of this perspective of struggle and that they wanted to be together at the next organisational meetings and on the fields of struggle. The disciplined and enthusiastic attitude of the revolutionary youth, who made up about half of the hall, was remarkable.
The representative of the ADHK gave a speech in which he emphasised the importance of the anti-imperialist associations, the importance of founding the AIL and supporting power. He also emphasised the importance of the joint action of all anti-imperialist forces. The representative who took the floor on behalf of AVEG-KON also spoke about AIL and Partizan. She successfully reiterated the importance of the anti-imperialist struggle associations and the joint struggle and emphasised that the legitimate national freedom resistance of the Palestinian people is anti-colonialist, progressive and an ally of the worldwide struggle for revolution and socialism.
The representative of the proletarian revolutionary stance welcomed the AIL and declared that they want to be a partner in the anti-imperialist struggle. They expressed their support for AIL’s struggle and declared their willingness to make the necessary contribution. At the same time, they criticised Hamas, which, as a reactionary Islamist force, is seen as an ally.
Afterwards, the representative of the partisans took the floor and explained with historical examples that they consider the issue based on the political principles of MLM and that some reactionary forces in the world revolutionary front were objectively hurt by their legitimate national struggle and resistance against imperialism.
The presentation meeting of the AIL ended with the call of the partisan representative to all anti-imperialist, anti-fascist forces to join the AIL, to give strength to the AIL, to test the AIL and to unite the anti-imperialist struggles and with the words “unity-struggle-victory” against imperialism.
