Anti-imperialists of the world, unite!
LET US UNITE AS ANTI-IMPERIALISTS OF THE WORLD AGAINST THE “OPERATION KAGAAR” OF THE REACTIONARY INDIAN STATE, LET US DEFEND THE PEOPLE’S WAR OF THE CPI (MAOIST) AND THE RESISTANCE OF THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLES!
The CPI (Maoist) called for international solidarity and protest and declared 1 July 2024 as “World Day of Protest against the Kagaar Operation”. As the Coordination Committee of the Anti-Imperialist League, we would like to call on all anti-imperialists worldwide to mobilise against the Indian state’s operation in Kagaar and to show solidarity with the indigenous peoples and the CPI (Maoist) who are affected by these attacks.
The Indian state, which can be labelled as reactionary, continues its anti-people operations against the poor peoples of India, using aggression. This development is a consequence of their failure to face the people’s war waged by the CPI (Maoist). The CPI (Maoist) had called for solidarity with the international anti-imperialist, anti-fascist and revolutionary forces when the Indian state’s ‘Operation Kagaar’ began. The CPI (Maoist) call for solidarity was responded with various activities and protests by anti-imperialist, progressive and revolutionary forces in different parts of the world. Against the ongoing aggression and massacres by the reactionary Indian state under Operation Kagaar, the International Communist League, the Communist Party of the Philippines, the International Committee to Support the People’s War in India (ICSWPI) and various revolutionary organisations have issued statements and carried out actions. Protests and support demonstrations continue to take place in various countries around the world.
The conditions of life for indigenous peoples, poor peasants and lower castes in India have increasingly worsened under the rule of Brahminical Hindutva fascism and the racist aggression epitomised by Modi. This is due to the persistence of bourgeois-feudal reaction as an institutional form of rule in all respects. The Indian comprador bureaucratic capitalists and landlords function as subcontractors of the imperialist monopolies. The Indian ruling classes serve the imperialist monopolies, especially the US and British imperialists, by paving the way for the brutal exploitation and plunder of India’s natural resources and labour power. This servility leads to India being marketed internationally as one of the largest democracies in the world, receiving military and political support from the imperialists.
The ruling classes of the Indian state, which is a semi-colony of the imperialist states and one of the most deeply rooted social and political examples of semi-feudal rule, are striving to root the bourgeois-feudal structure deeper. At the same time, they are continuously intensifying terrorist operations against the Maoist Party forces, which are waging a people’s war for democratic people’s power, and against the indigenous peoples, who are the mass force of the people’s war. The visible face of counter-revolutionary aggression, as manifested in “Operation Kagaar”, is aimed at destroying the CPI (Maoist). The other face is the appropriation of the land of the indigenous peoples by the Indian ruling classes and imperialist monopolies, with these operations being justified by a “legitimacy” conferred on them by the ruling classes. In particular, massacres of the indigenous peoples in the Dandakaranya region of India are being carried out by the official and paramilitary forces of the state. The massacres are tried to be legitimised in public opinion under the name of “fight against terrorism” by portraying the murdered indigenous civilians as CPI (Maoist) guerrillas. A large number of massacres of the indigenous population have already taken place as part of “Operation Kagaar”.
Although they use brutal violence and manipulation, the Indian reaction and its imperialist backers are neither able to legitimise their massacres and aggressions nor to prevent the development of the people’s war waged by the CPI (Maoist). The CPI (Maoist) cadres, the militants, the PLGA guerrillas and the indigenous peoples of India are fighting the counter-revolutionary terrorist operations risking their lives. It is necessary that all the anti-imperialist forces of the world participate in this struggle and show solidarity with the people’s war waged by the CPI (Maoist).
THE “OPERATION KAGAAR” IS THE LEGITIMISATION OF THE MASSACRE AND PLUNDERING OF THE LAND OF THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLES BY THE RULING CLASSES IN INDIA!
