Long Live the People’s War in the Philippines!
“People’s war is the revolutionary political movement of the broad masses of the people. It encompasses all forms of struggle to prevent foreign capitalists and their partnersthe comprador bourgeoisie, the landlords, and bureaucrat capitalism from seizing and appropriating the country’s land and wealth.
The principal form of struggle is armed struggle to defend the nation’s patrimony and achieve national liberation. Guerrilla warfare is the tactic of the broad masses of the people in fighting the powerful enemy. No matter how monstrous its strength and violence may be, U.S. imperialism and the fascist puppet state will not withstand the small bites of an army of ants the struggling masses.
It is the Party’s continuous and increasingly urgent task to unite and mobilize the entire people along the blazing path of people’s war. The Party calls on all patriotic and democratic classes and sectors, especially the working masses and petty-bourgeois intellectuals: join the New People’s Army and carry forward the armed struggle.
People’s war must be carried forward throughout the entire country, in every region and province, from Abra to Sarangani. It is from the ranks of the common people that the nation’s soldiers emerge in the struggle for national liberation. Rifle or shotgun, new or old, pistol or spear, stone or bow whatever is in the hands of the masses and their guerrilla forces is a weapon for the defense of the nation’s patrimony and the struggle for genuine national liberation.”
